Many thanks to the committee for offering me this judging appointment.  I had a very enjoyable day and I thank the exhibitors for their support.  I found the dog entry very mixed and I was surprised in the amount of barrel rib cages that in turn went with broader skulls.  I was totally spoilt in the bitches having many that I really liked.  Judging at a club open show and working towards hopefully one day awarding CC’s definitely makes you a better exhibitor.  Being able to appreciate fellow exhibitor’s apsos first hand gives you a far better prospective in the placing that you have been awarded on an occasion and understanding the close decisions that the judge has to make on the day.

 

Veteran Dog (2) 1abs.

1 Waterhouse’s Ch/AMCh Chtaura Dream Machine. Wonderfully sound 9 yr old gold.  Pleasing head with good pigment and dark eye.  Nice shoulder with balanced upper arm into correct spring of rib and balanced backend.  Well held topline with good muscle tone all through. Moved well and a lovely size.  A credit to his owner.

 

Minor Puppy Dog 5 (Iabs)

 1.Reeces Petwalk Jimmy Choo. Stylish 6mth gold, pleasing head black pigment and eye.  Sound front assembly liked his balance, kept a good balance in outline on the move and strong topline. Backend immature at the moment in muscle but the angles are good, promising puppy.

2 Richardsons Belazieth Hello I’m so lucky.  Nicely balanced sound 6mth silver grey.  Pleasing head with good mouth.  Good balance of angles fore and rear, not very happy on the move today but with experience this will come.  Correct size and a nice type.

 

PuppyD og 2.

 1,Green’s Samorrey Hello Tiger.10mth g/w parti very mature in size and muscle tone .  Loved his head and expression with a good broad mouth and lovely lip.  Pigment good both eyes and nose.  Very good front assembly into correct shaped rib, no sign of a barrel on his rib shape considering him being a bigger type.  Complimenting rear angles with a good strong hock.  Moved very soundly.  Correct coat texture.  In my opinion a very good dog for the future.  BPD.

 

2.Hart Zentarr Elgar of Khazedel.9mth gold with a lovely head and good apso expression. Good pigment .A more immature type but very well made in his angles with a lovely tailset .Moved well held a good topline .Good coat texture. Two encouraging puppies.

 

Junior Dog 5 (1abs).

1 Waterhouse’s Chtaura Rebel Rock.14mth grey brindle of lovely size and balance.  Pleasing head with good expression nice neck into a good shoulder and nice straight front.  Correct rib and topline.  Liked his style on the move. RBD.

2 Hazelhursts Domensa Silver Shadow over Corroll.14mth silver grey nice type and style.  Liked his eye placement and skull shape.  Could benefit from a little more under jaw.  Good neck balance into a nice shoulder.  A little longer in balance to 1 but well ribbed up.  Liked his backend style.

2 Yaxley Dardandelles Wild Basil. G/W parti 13mts,4th in JD.  Lovely  head and very good mouth ,good coat ,nice straight front .  Backend seemed very straight in stifle which did affect his movement and set his tail off balance.  Nice size.

 

Graduate Dog 2

1 Carters Vowchurch Chico Time.   A larger type gold/ white parti.  Loved how sound he is throughout.  Very well muscled, lovely balance of angles in his front and backend, very correct rib and nice tail set.  Head a little broader in skull but good underjaw, very sound movement held a good topline.  Liked him a lot.

2 Deacon Shardlow Air Traffic Control over Andolyn.  Nice size and balance.  Different head for me but expression quite sweet.  Nice coat texture and showed well.

 

Post Graduate Dog 6

I found this class very mixed.

1 Waterhouse’s Chtaura It Could be magic. This gold surprised me a lot.  I found him very difficult to fault.  He has a correct skull shape with lovely eye and expression.  Good shoulder .upper arm and straight front.  I really liked his rib length and shape into good sound backend. Moved very true .Just found his balance a little longer than my ideal.  Very good coat texture and pigment.

Jones’s Tarendes Follow The Bear.3yr old gold /white parti. So glad that I had the chance to go over this dog as I have been a fan of watching him in the ring for a while.  Love his type.  His overall balance just works for me. Good skull shape nice expression good mouth. Nice shape of neck with good top muscle into good layback of shoulder into balanced upper arm, straight front.  Correct apos rib, strong topline into a balanced angled backend that matches with his forehand.  Strong hock.  Moved so freely.  Correct coat texture.  Easy to award him BD&BIS.

 

2 Scotts Wolferlow Merlot. 6yr old red with lovely coat texture and pigment.  Correct skull shape pref a little more underjaw. Very sound and honest to go over and strong muscle tone.  Well balanced in himself.  Moved very soundly.

                                   

Veteran Bitch 1.

1 Langford’s Britroys Caught in a Shower at Quaytown.

11yr old parti.  Lovely balance with such a sound body. Her sire was one of my all time favourites.  Lovely expression good head, mouth very good shape and still has her teeth.  Moved very freely not showing her age, moving with a good topline.  Correct coat texture.  Credit to her owner.  BV.

 

Minor Puppy Bitch 2.

1  Richardsons Belazieth Hello I’m Bessie.  Well balanced soundly made black.  Nice head, sweet expression good mouth.  Nice neck into good shoulder and balanced rear.   Nice size for very feminine puppy.

 

2  Ogden’s Absosengkye Princess.Slighty longer than 1 in balance but has a good neck and height of leg.  Soundly made gold/white parti with excellent muscle tone, obviously has plenty of free exercise.  Sweet head and good pigment.  Moved well. Two nice puppies.

 

Puppy Bitch 7(3abs)

1  Greens Samorrey Moon Angel.10mth silver grey.Liked everything about this puppy.  Would love to own her.  Pretty correct head ,very wide mouth lovely underjaw.  Very good shoulder into straight front.  Good apso rib nicely angled rear.  Good hock, handled well to see her at her best.  Loved her movement.  BPB&BPIS.

2  Langfords Quaytown Make a Wish.11mth gold. Liked her balance and style.  Nice skull shape, slightly different expression to 1.Good pigment.  Promising puppy.

 

Junior Bitch 4

1  Paradise Shardlow Party Panda.17mth Black/white parti Nice balance and size.  Good muscle tone.  Liked her type and style.  Showed well.

2  Barthorpe Patarch Ice Diamond.  Very well marked b/w parti with a  lovely coat, nice compact balance.  Pretty head, needs to mature in body.  Showed well.

 

Yearling Bitch 4(1abs)

1  Jones Tarendes See That Bear.  Perfectly balanced 19mth gold.  Such a pretty head with lovely expression.  Difficult to fault a credit to her breeder.  Really a delight to go over, moves very well with great style, I can’t imagine her not getting her crown as she will appeal to so many judges.  Love to see her when she is about 4 and in her prime.

Graduate Bitch 3(1abs)

1  Hindley Now and Then at Loistone.  Good for size and balance.  Pretty head and nice expression.  Sound  body.  Immmature in coat but this is normal for her 2yrs.Good pigment in this gold.

2  Jones Tarendes Treasure that Bear.19mth gold/white parti.  Nice balance on the stand and good to go over.  Nice skull shape.  Not very happy on the move today.

 

Post Graduate Bitch 6(1abs).

1 Bushells Jamikasoka Shady Lady.  Ultra sound silver brindle 3yrold.  Loved her head and soft Tibetan expression.  Very good neck into shoulder and balanced upper arm.  Excels in rib cage shape and length, firm topline, balanced rear.  Moved very true.  An honest apso bitch with so much breed type.  RBB.

2 Cropper Corrolls Dallas for Coro .Another good gold bitch,lovely size and balance very sound to go over. Moved with style with a good topline.  Just pref head of 1 but close up in honest soundness.

 

Limit Bitch 6(2abs)

1  Two good bitches.  Scott’s Wolferlow Charlotte. 2yrs black/white parti with the best head of the day.  So tibetan in expression with lovely skull shape.  Nice neck and shoulder good upper arm.  Good topline and tailset.  Loved her type and style on the move but I do think she needs time to mature in her body.  Excels in coat texture.  I do feel that she needs to get more unity with her handler to get top awards at Ch shows but for me she is a true typy apso with so much potential.  BB.RBIS

2  Bedfords Sangchenla Pandora. Gold/White parti.  Very sound bitch and a tough call between the two.  Lovely size and balance good shoulder and very good rib.  Is maturing well and has good muscle tone.  Pref head of 1, moved soundly.

 

Open Bitch 9(3abs)

1  Hazlehursts Corroll HooLaLa.Really liked this 3yrs old golds style.  Larger in size for my ideal but her construction is very hard to fault.  Very good shoulder and sound angles front and rear.  Sweet feminine head with good pigment .Sound mover.  Good coat texture.

2  Waterhouse’s Chtaura She Will be Loved. Very feminine 4yr old gold.  Good pigment. Lovely size and balance.  Pretty head.eye and mouth.  Typical sound type from this top winning affix.
